Within the program of urban improvement Fedorovsky Embankment and the nearest streets became a new park which is now a favorite place for not only residents, but also for tourists.

A small area of the old Nizhny, where wooden houses of the turn of the XIX—XX centuries have been preserved.

The urban oasis, the "lungs" of Nizhny Novgorod, Switzerland Park is the largest green facility in the city. Its length along the Oka River is 3.5 km and its area is 380 hectares.

The park is included in the list of cultural heritage sites of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Located in the city center, Pokrovka is the longest pedestrian street in Nizhny Novgorod and connects 4 main squares: Minin and Pozharsky, Teatralnaya, Gorky and Lyadov.
